Old Republic[]
Aldiya was discovered by the Old Republic circa 3,000 BBY. During the Clone Wars, Aldiya joined into an alliance with the Galactic Confederacy.
Galactic Empire[]
With the Republic and Confederacy both destroyed, Aldiya joined the Galactic Empire. Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, several former allied planets were suspected of holding secretive Rebel bases, including Aldiya. Its capital city, Gereenta, was attacked and left in ruins by members of the Union of Bounty Hunters, sent by Darth Vader. The planet was cast into fear as Imperial rule became strengthened.
